Job Description
Michael Sprouse is the Chief Marketing Officer of AzoogleAds, a profitable, pre-IPO online marketing & technology company. His current responsibilities include overseeing all marketing strategy for the company with P/L oversight, public relations strategy and outreach, all search engine marketing (SEM), trade marketing, internal communications, business & corporate development and cross-platform initiatives. To-date, he has overseen the launch of two key business lines, redesigned the corporate website, made the SEM division profitable and has made good on the potential to build a world-class, marketing organization. His ongoing efforts continue to be in building the company’s profit margins, guiding the company through a re-branding effort, as well as taking the lead on Business Development activities.
Bio
Prior to AzoogleAds, Sprouse served as Senior Vice President of Marketing for Playboy Enterprises, Inc. In his five years at Playboy, Sprouse helped to oversee a business transformation as the youngest senior executive in the company’s 54 year history, overseeing P/L for digital media. His leadership opened up many public speaking and PR opportunities including the Keynote presentation at ETail (twice) as well as numerous press mentions. Sprouse was responsible for providing overall marketing strategy and direction with revenue and operating income accountability for the Division’s Online, E-Commerce/Catalog & Ad Sales businesses while leading cross-platform marketing efforts with other major business units with varying P&L responsibility: Worldwide Home Video & DVD, Domestic/International TV and Mobile/Wireless. Before Playboy, Sprouse spent five years at MBI, Inc (The Danbury Mint), which manufactures and markets fine collectibles direct-to-consumers. During his tenure there, he was responsible for managing direct response & direct mail/catalog P&L and facilitated the consistent sales growth of various collectible product lines. He was also the developer and first-ever manager of the company’s website and led the company into the E-Commerce business while still managing his normal duties in the catalog and direct mail businesses. Prior to MBI, Inc, Sprouse was a world-ranked ATP men’s tennis player participating in world-class professional tournaments all around the world. Upon retirement from tennis, he competed in 7 marathons, including New York, Boston & Washington D.C. Sprouse graduated from the University Of Notre Dame, where he was a Dean’s List student and captain of the nationally-ranked tennis team. Sprouse also earned the Arthur Ashe Award for achievement, leadership and sportsmanship given to one Division I collegiate tennis player each year. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting. Sprouse is unmarried, resides in New York, NY & Chicago, IL and is originally from Fairfield, CT.
