Job Description

Dr. John Tantillo, aka the “marketing doctor,” is a brand and marketing expert who is a trained applied research psychologist.  He is presently president of the Marketing Department of America Ltd and is a Branding and Marketing Expert Blogger for IncBizBet.com.

Dr. Tantillo is a member of the American Marketing Association and the “Cambridge Who's Who Registry of Executives and Professionals.” He has won many creative awards for clients including Canon USA and SLS Health.
Dr. Tantillo has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in Advertising, Sales Promotion, Market Research and Sales Management at Manhattan College, St John’s University, New York University in New York City; he also lectures around the country.

He received a B.A., magna cum laude from St. Francis College, Brooklyn, New York in 1973; an M.A. in Experimental Psychology from Queens College of The City University of New York, Flushing, New York in 1976; and a Ph.D in Applied Research Psychology from Hofstra University, Hempstead, New York in 1980. In 2006, Esquire magazine named Dr. Tantillo as a finalist in their “Best Dressed Man” contest.

Dr. Tantillo appears on Fox Business News and is also a frequent guest on nationally televised programs. He has appeared on NBC's "Today" show, Fox News Channel’s "Your World w/ Neil Cavuto," "Fox & Friends," and on the nationally syndicated "Access Hollywood."

He is also responsible for coining "The O’Reilly Factor,” a term that he used to describe his friend Bill O’Reilly when interacting with his friends, family and colleagues.  O’Reilly would eventually rename his show from the O’Reilly Report to the O’Reilly Factor.  "Bill knows marketing and a great brand name when he sees it and decided to use it as the title of his new show.  The rest is history,” says Tantillo.
